Welcome to https://unityplumbingnorcal.com (the “Site”), operated by Unity Plumbing, a DBA of John Beard Plumbing Services, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a licensed plumbing contractor serving Sonoma, Marin, and Napa Counties. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Site and your text (SMS), email, and phone communications with us. By using the Site, submitting a request, or opting in to receive messages, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms do not govern the plumbing services themselves. Any actual plumbing work is governed by a separate, signed Contract for Work — see Section 1 below.

1. Relationship to Your Work Contract

Before any plumbing work begins, you will review and sign a separate Contract for Work, as required by California law. That signed contract — not these website Terms — governs the scope of work, pricing, payment terms, warranties, liability, and your rights as a customer for that job, including your statutory three-business-day right to cancel the signed contract.

If anything in these Terms conflicts with your signed Contract for Work, the signed Contract for Work controls. Nothing in these Terms limits, replaces, or modifies the terms of that signed contract.

2. SMS/Text Messaging Program

Program name: Unity Plumbing Text Notifications

Program description: By submitting your phone number through our website, over the phone, or in person, and opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Unity Plumbing regarding appointment confirmations, technician ETAs, estimates, invoices, review requests, and customer service follow-ups.

• Consent is not a condition of purchase. You are not required to opt in to receive service.
• Message frequency: varies based on your service activity (e.g., appointment-related messages).
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• Opt-out: Text STOP at any time to unsubscribe. You’ll receive a one-time confirmation message.

• Supported carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Your consent applies only to Unity Plumbing and is not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Phone Call Terms

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive calls from Unity Plumbing related to scheduling, dispatch, and service follow-up. Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes where permitted by law. Standard carrier rates may apply.

4. Email Communications

By providing your email address, you may receive service-related emails (such as estimates, invoices, and appointment updates) as well as promotional emails, including discount offers and recommended services. Every promotional email includes an unsubscribe link; you may opt out of promotional email at any time without affecting service-related communications. 5. Requests, Estimates, and Scheduling

Requests submitted through the Site or by text/phone are preliminary and do not themselves create a service agreement. Estimates are based on information available at the time of the request and may change upon on-site inspection; final pricing and terms are set out in your signed Contract for Work. We do not charge a fee for missed or late-cancelled appointments, but we appreciate as much advance notice as possible so we can offer the slot to another customer.

6. Limitation of Liability (Site and Communications)

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unity Plumbing is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or from SMS, email, or phone communications with us, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. This section applies only to the Site and these communications — it does not limit or modify the liability, warranty, or indemnity terms of your signed Contract for Work.

7. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (for example, manufacturer product pages, review platforms, or licensing authorities). These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and your use of any linked site is at your own risk and subject to that site’s own terms and privacy policy.

8. Licensing and Compliance

Unity Plumbing is a DBA of John Beard Plumbing Services, Inc., a licensed plumbing contractor in the State of California (License #1122452, C36 – Plumbing). We comply with applicable state and local codes and permitting requirements.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site or these communications after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
